History
El Vell Sarrià restaurant is located at an old country house, built up in 1745, of this ancient village and has a wonderful and peaceful terrace overlooking Sarrià main square, now a pedestrian area. This is one of the main features of this nice and beloved restaurant. The others are born within its kitchen, whose flagship are the rice dishes: sea rice, sea/mountain rice, mountain rice with ceps, rice with cod and vegetables...
Any of them is fully advisable.
The menu boasts also many traditional dishes, necessary within the menu of such traditional and inviting restaurant. Among first courses, we can underline Catalan sausage and salads; among main courses, meat -such as sucking pig, Catalan sausage with beans or the roast-beef-; among fishes, the cod (with sanfaina, au gratin with ceps fragance or grilled with escalivada), hake or gilthead. Finally, among the desserts, you may enjoy excellent drunk cakes as well as homemade confectionery and sherbets with Catalan crème.
